My Home Away From Home

I wanted to give you a tour of my future living space in 6 or so weeks.

Here's my couch/bed. As you can see...It fits me perfectly. I am pretty sure I'll sleep great.

Here's where my beer goes. My own personal fridge...

My own restroom with laundry baskets...

My entertainment center...

My pajama and underwear warmer on those cold mornings...

My own earthquake machine...

and finally, my own reclining chair...don't mind the person hooked up to all of the monitors.

In case you are wondering why Michelle is in bed at the hospital, read the following.
Michelle and I recently had a tour of the hospital...but not the way we planned. We actually scheduled a tour of the hospital with Mills Peninsula. We went to the tour but our guide turned out to be an historian of the hospital and we had to listen to a lot of old stories about the way it was. Our tour turned into an 2 hour event that could have been completed in about 30 minutes. We did get to see a lot of things though. Little did we know, a couple of weeks later, we would have an in depth view of the birthing center.

Michelle had to be admitted into the Labor and Delivery room the other day. Everything is fine but she had to undergo some monitoring. She was feeling some pains in her abdomen...something like a muscle pull. She called the advice nurse, who called the doctor, who told the advice nurse, who told Michelle, she should go immediately to the hospital. Shell called me up and asked if I was busy. "Of course I'm busy!!!" I said. Then she told me the story. "Are you having a baby?"I asked. "I don't know....but you better come down." she said. "WHAT THE F*%K", "HOLY SH@T", "ARE YOU F&^%$#@!$^&ING KIDDING?" is what I think I said. Well...it turned out to be a false alarm. Everything is OK. We still aren't exactly sure what caused the pain but the doctor cleared Michelle. Needless to say that it was an eventful day. At least I know where they store all of the "freebies" at the hospital. I'm bringing an empty bag for all of the goodies I'm going to get.

Hi Brandon - You are sooo funny. You crack me up. At least you know where everything is in the suite now and you'll be ready. Trial runs are a good thing. Thanks for keeping us informed.

Love,
MOM

Hi Brandon:

Well, those were choice words when you were talking to Shell on the phone...didn't get that from my side of the family, hahaha! Hope the "little" sofa will fit you when you and Michelle move into the hospital suite. I wonder how many people can fit in this room?

Love,
Mom
